An exceptionally rare yellow-ground 18th century Derby open-work pierced basket of oval shape, with pink and green rope twist handles with clusters of flowers at each terminal, the exterior lattice-work applied with flowerheads, the central panel depicting three figures in a landscape; two gentlemen with tricorn hats and walking sticks and a woman dressed in a diaphanous pink gown holding a posy, all resting on a raised green rope twist foot-rim
