A Bow figure of a female flower seller or woman representing Spring

Copied from a Chelsea original, painted with enamels and gilded, she stands on an irregular flat base with applied flowers and leaves, a basket of flowers over her right arm, a posy held aloft, wearing a pink jacket trimmed with gold, a flowered skirt partly raised by her left hand, with a yellow, white and blue striped skirt underneath, blue shoes, and a powder blue bonnet fastened with a yellow ribbon

Circa 1762

The date is very specific for this beautiful figure as 1762 was the year that Bow began to use the powder blue colouring

14.5 cm tall
