A Pair Of 18th Century Derby Figural Candlesticks

Modelled as a gallant and his companion; both standing on turquoise and gilt scrolled bases beside a twisted stump and floral bocage that supports the leaf-like candle pans and multi-coloured nozzles. One modelled as a man in purple and flower patterned breeches, white shirt, purple waistcoat, turquoise jacket and yellow shoes, his right arm wrapped around the floral bocage that makes up the candlestick, his other hand offering pears to his companion whilst a basket of fruit rests behind him on a tree stump. His companion is modelled as a woman dressed in a purple and flower decorated skirt that matches his breeches, a purple bodice, turquoise waistcoat and yellow shoes, her left arm draped around the bocage encrusted candlestick, her right hand holding onto her apron where she has been gathering fruit

Faint patch marks to base

Both approximately 26 cm tall

He with restoration to extremities and head

She with restoration to extremities and a firing crack to base
