A rare 18th Century Derby porcelain figure emblematic of Fire from the set of Elements; a youth standing against a flowering bocage on a gilt and turquoise Rococo base, dressed in a white flowered tunic with ruffle, a pink sash and a sea-green and burnt orange cloak with peacock feathered gold leggings, a flaming urn on top of a plinth to his left and a signal canon at his feet.

Height     9.75 inches (24.75 cm)

Circa 1770 - 1775

Restoration to the top of the canon wheel and two of the flames

One of the four allegorical elements, this figure was adapted from the original Derby figure representing War (E70)
