A rare 18th century William Duesbury kakiemon derby cup & saucer; each painted with two gilded lobed panels, one with a standing red crane against a flowering trellis, the other with a blue crane in flight above scattered flowers, all against a very rich, sea-green, turquoise ground within a gold dentil rim

Circa 1765

Saucer diameter 12.5 cm
Cup height 6.2 cm

Small restored flea bite to rim of cup, small restored chip to saucer
